WORK > All Washed Up

The balloons depicted in these paintings were collected on the beaches of Chicago. Originally part of some festive summer gathering, these are the ones that got loose and set sail over the Lake Michigan horizon. Launched in celebration, the lake spits them back on the beach where they haunt the early morning dog-walkers as the ghosts of parties past.
